Shoes Hitting the Ground By Marina Grey

Let me start this by saying GO SEE THE PLAY!!! It will be awesome, trust me, if you ask me, we have some of the most talented people in the world in this play, especially the lead. But hey, don't take it from me, go see it for yourself!!

Hello, I’m Marina! You probably don’t know me because I don’t really talk to people unless they talk to me, because -a little fun fact- I have no idea how to start conversations! Yay! But enough with that, I’m a stagehand for the play this year! I did it last year and it was super fun, so I’m back again! Since it was my first year it was a little scary because I didn’t know anyone and the one friend, I had couldn’t even remember my name (and no I will not stop reminding him about this because it was hilarious). But I've always had this interest in doing theater (Since I acted in middle school), and I wasn’t sure of where to start. So, when I heard about the techie roles I signed up. I tried to convince my other friends to do it with me, but they didn’t want to so I did it alone. Which I’m kind of glad of because it forced me out of my comfort zone and got me to do things that I wouldn’t have done otherwise. And the experience has made me realize that to me theatre isn’t just a thing or a little hobby, it’s like a feeling. I don’t know how to describe it without sounding cheesy, but it’s just this great thing that just draws me in and makes me want to be a part of it. Ever since I went to see my friend in Hale’s production of "The 39 Steps" I knew I had to join. And that’s why I’m here, because of some shoes hitting the ground and some memories from the past. That’s why I do theatre.

I'm also here because of the ghosts, I've heard that they like to hang around here and I'm dying to see one.
