Hello. My name is Benjamin Mayes, and I am a new freshman in the Nathan Hale theater group. I’m in the class of 2024 so naturally I have only been in the theater program during the pandemic, being a writer in the fall production of laughing out life, and an actor in the up-and-coming spring musical, Night of your life. I’m going to be honest when I say that I have no Idea what I want to do with my life, but theater is a fun place where I can socialize with my peers and have goals to pursue. I wish I could have had my first experience in this program in person because the community is amazing and awesome. Every time I feel stressed out or not confident in myself, I talk to my teachers and they always have such a calming and reassuring presence. I want to leave off by summarizing how this program is an amazing place with amazing people, and I can’t wait to be here in person.
