Times New Roman: A Fitting Font by Gavin Gough

Times New Roman is a wonderfully fitting font for this blog post about my time in the show Pippin. Pippin is a story within a story based around the life of the first-born son of King Charlemagne. As any historian would know, Charlemagne was crowned as the Holy Roman Emperor on the 25th of December in the year 800. Naturally you can see the connection between the font and the era. But this is the Times New Roman font after all. What exactly is new about Charlemagne? The thing is, Pippin is a show about putting on a show about Pippin. See, it’s actually a show that takes place in the modern day and in the Roman Empire! Therefore, Times New Roman is the only fitting font for any promotional material. Or at least it would be, if Wix would let us do that.
