Hello! I'm Fletcher Grant and I am part of the chorus in Nathan Hale's production of The Imaginary Invalid. I have had a lot of fun working on the show over these past several weeks, but I almost didn't even audition. I was super nervous about taking part in a high school production, but with the encouragement of my family, I decided to take the leap. You see, my sister is kind of a legend around the Hale theatre community, being president of the theatre club in her junior and senior year. And with that, everyone just knew me as the former president's brother. But after a while, people got to know me, and I've made a bunch of new friends in the process. And hanging out with everyone in the play has been awesome. Even though it feels like we are really busy during rehearsal, we still have a lot of time to talk and joke around. We're always quietly going over blocking notes backstage before a scene. During rehearsals, talking about the most random stuff as our characters, from the ability to walk and think at the same time to Ford F-150s. And simply hanging out and talking on the concrete steps in the PAC before rehearsal starts. After all, Hale has a wonderful theatre community and I'm so glad to have taken part in it.
