Welcome to the school year...and a baby!

Hello and howdy theatre folks!!!

It’s me, your Drama Director, Mr. Roby. Greetings.

A few things. The message below is intended for students. Adults, you're welcome to read it so that you know the goings-on and can support your students as well. (I’ve highlighted the…highlights *ahem* for your convenience.)

Firstly, my golly gosh I miss you and hope you’re well. I hope your summer was full of joy, and if it wasn’t, I hope you get a real big hug from someone you love a lot LIKE TODAY!!!

Nextly, please remember that my wife and I are expecting a baby ANY DAY NOW!!!! So, please come visit me on Raider Day (August 31st). If I’m not there, that means BIRTH HAS HAPPENED!!!!

Also remember, as a result of this highly anticipated baby birth, that I will not be at Nathan Hale the entire month of September. So, if I don’t see you on Raider Day, I’ll see you in October.

Please reach out to your Drama Department Officers if you need anything or have any questions. They’ll probably know the answer and will be able to respond to you WAY more quickly than I would (especially in September).

Hey, theatre enthusiasts!

Remember to sign up for the Fall Play and get your friends to sign up, too!

Sign up on our website (www.nathanhaletheatre.com).

As of right now, we’re still planning on producing "39 Steps" in-person on the PAC stage in front of a live audience (although auditions are virtual not because of COVID but because of baby, so deal with it). All are welcome!!! Please invite folks to sign up. Theatre is so awesome, and it’s good for you, too. It’s like if pizza were healthy, then theatre would be the pizza for your soul, ya know?

Hey Thespians, stay tuned to hear from President Shelby Grant really soon about a special start-of-year event. And a woot woot here.

Also also, there’s some more info below about some logistical stuff I thought might be helpful for you to know in preparation for school…not theatre stuff. Psh!!
